Warehouse Site Trainer

We are looking to recruit a warehouse site trainer who will be responsible for MHE training and other health and safety routines at our distribution centre in Birchwood, Warrington.

We offer a permanent full-time position primarily working days from 08:00 to 16:00 5 days from 7 each week (usually including at least one weekend day) although some flexibility will be required in order to provide training to operatives working on the late and night shifts.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer a flat hourly pay rate of £10.78 and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 39 hours work per week.  This means that you will be earning at least £420 per week and overtime may be available, paid at your standard hourly rate.

As our warehouse site trainer, you will:

  • Deliver MHE training to our team of warehouse operatives across classes A1, A2, B1, D1 and MEWP.
  • Take responsibility for reviewing and updating relevant SSOW and risk assessments.
  • Be responsible for the completion of regular fire evacuations.
  • Carry out routine fire safety checks.
  • Complete racking inspections and repairs (training will be provided).
  • Keep accurate records.
  • Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.

You will need:

  • MHE Instructor qualifications from ITSAR or RTITB in the following groups:
    • A1 – PPT
    • A2 – Picking truck & lad truck
    • B1 – Cunterbalance
    • D1 – Reach truck
    • MEWP – Scissr lift (training can be provided if you do not currently have an instructor qualification for this group).
  • To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
