We are looking to recruit a Canteen Assistant who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Blairlinn, Cumbernauld.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We have two vacancies available:
Dayshift or Backshift, 20 hours a week over 3 days. Alternatively we can offer a nights position working 24 hours a week over 3 nights.

The pay for the dayshift/Backshift is £13.17 per hour and the pay for nights is £14.28 per hour.

Duties:

• Food preparation tasks;
• Cooking and counter serving of meals;
• Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;
• Replenishment of fridges
• Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.

About You:

This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential.  Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and posses general numeracy and literacy skills.

Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
